Tim Landess, CEO - Biography
With
over 20 years in the long-term-care industry, Tim Landess began his work with
LTC providers. A Health Facility Administrator and Field Accountant, Tim has
helped providers across the United States with accounts receivable and financial
management.
Beginning his career as an accounts receivable clerk for a
small long-term-care chain in 1988, his enthusiasm for accounts receivable
remained strong as he continued in the area of facility accounts receivable
management. Having worked for many companies in the role of Field Accountant
and as a licensed health facility administrator throughout the United States,
Tim was highly successful in managing and training staff, creating procedures
and maintaining collections at the highest level.
Weathering the
various regulatory changes and modernization of billing practices, Tim found
that various medical billing companies were not meeting the needs of their
clientele due to lack of LTC knowledge and experience. Tim found there was a
need for a medical billing company geared specifically for the long-term-care
industry. In 2004, Advantage Billing & Consultants, Inc was created to
fulfill that void.
Since its inception, Tim has successfully assisted
numerous LTC providers in education and full accounts receivable management. He
was appointed by one of the state associations as the educator for the
Reimbursement and Billing portion of the Health Facility Administrators Course.
Tim also serves on various financial and third-party payer committees and has
presented many educational seminars for the Indiana associations. With
education as the cornerstone for reimbursement success, Advantage Billing &
Consultants, Inc. has been involved with numerous facilities throughout Indiana
and Kentucky performing extensive consulting services, training, education and
billing. Tim Landess is regarded as a very knowledgeable billing and accounts
receivable consultant in the LTC industry.
